Christmas Island is not only a place for relaxing but there are also non-stop activities if you want to enjoy yourself even more.

Snorkelling –
With the coral reefs surrounding the Island, snorkelling is a must on every visit to Christmas Island as the abundance of fish and coral to see is breathtaking, just a few metres from the shore. Popular Flying Fish Cove is great for snorkelling and swimming as well as various other beaches around the Island.

Scuba Diving -
The Scuba-Diving possibilities around Christmas Island are superb. Two professional operators have fully surveyed vessels to take divers out to some of the best spots. Due to limited space on the boat, bookings for scuba diving should be made prior to arrival on the island.

Nature walks will help you discover first hand the Christmas Island flora and fauna. For further information on Nature Walks contact The Sunset's Front Desk or the Tourist Association.

Fishing -

The waters around Christmas Island are also well known for fabulous fishing. With Wahoo, Sailfish, Tuna and many other fish caught in the Island waters, everyone will have an enjoyable and exciting time fishing. Vessels are available for hire for full-day or half-day charters (fishing tackle is included) or you could just throw a line off the rocks from popular fishing spots.
